Q: Your collectors often describe your work as peaceful yet alive. Where does that come from?

A: I see rather than listen. Seeing is the truest description of how I work. When I paint, I’m seeing what Heaven shows and translating it through color. It’s not about imagining—it’s about receiving.

Q: You’ve spoken about prayer being part of your painting. What do you mean by that?

A: I pray the way I breathe—on the breath and under the breath. Painting and prayer happen at the same time; they’re one motion. When I pray in the Spirit, I’m speaking mysteries my mind doesn’t know, but my spirit does. My spirit is fully engaged with God and with Heaven. When I paint, I’m moving with the Spirit, revealing things my mind doesn’t yet understand. I’m not channeling; I’m yielding. I learn from what’s revealed as I paint.

Q: How do body, soul, and spirit connect in that process?

A: Painting is the connector between body, soul, and spirit. It’s kinesthetic—my hand, mind, emotions, and spirit move together. It’s communion. When I paint, there’s spirit-to-Spirit union with Christ. It’s not performance; it’s participation. The Spirit moves through form, and color becomes revelation.

Q: Some paintings take you years to complete. Why so long?

A: Time is part of my process. Some pieces unfold over years because I revisit them until they breathe. Each layer holds prayer, waiting, and revelation. When I return to a canvas months or years later, I bring new sight—the dialogue between me and the work continues. I’m not reworking; I’m listening again. Every return is another conversation with light.

Process & Materials

  • Start in abstraction; let gesture and hue lead until meaning emerges.
  • Acrylic on canvas and heavy paper (paper works are mounted to wood panels for exhibition; not painted directly on bare panel).
  • Archival finishes prepared for home, hospitality, and gallery contexts.

Collections & Themes

Themes of light, fire, water, ascent, and watchfulness draw from stories of courage, renewal, and refuge.

For Designers: Color You Can Live With

I help solve integration—not by chasing trends, but by curating from my existing body of work to align with current palettes (including Pantone). The goal is livable beauty that supports function and form and still carries message and presence.

  • Trade pricing, mockups, and palette studies on request.
  • Finish guidance for humidity-prone spaces (metal/plex options).
  • Site-specific commissions with placement planning.

A New Reformation of the Arts

I stand in the historic line of painters who told sacred stories for their time—bringing that intent into today’s visual language. My work is contemporary and design-forward, yet personal and relatable: art for everyday spaces that invites peace, courage, and encounter.
